It's scary how close this is going to end up being to the 08 primary. Hillary currently has 30k less votes than in 08, Bernie has 1k more than Obama.

Jimmy says he thinks Hillary is just as bad as Trump. Cenk says hillary will be primaried in 2020 like LBJ was in 1968

They've reached peak self parody. lol

1968 was such a good year for progressives tho!

They should focus on building a movement for the local, state, and federal levels over the next 8 years that will be ready to take over the party on the Presidential level in 2024.

Yet the map looks incredibly different. I agree with one of your previous posts, that the swing map is going to be fascinating.

They should, but they won't.

They will just sit on their asses and whine about things not changing.

Any idea what's holding up the rest of Eire County? Still 54 precincts outstanding and Clinton is only up 307 votes.

I seriously think Bernie is going to consider running again in 2020. Not a doubt in my mind that TYT is going to be begging and pleading for him to, even if life in Hillary's America is good.

Clinton's path to victory in 16 is a hybrid of Obama 08 and Clinton 08. She's doing much better with minorities (especially African-Americans) and urban whites, but has lost the rural white vote (which are generally lower income compared to urban whites, so are more receptive to Sanders' message).

That makes sense. It's annoying when the AP stops reporting updates.

I did mean to add that. The only reason why he wont run is because he is so old. Otherwise you just know he would want to primary her.

Even then, I don't seem him doing that unless things are going very, very badly. He'd get embarrassed, and he'd know it.

Clinton did unexpectedly well. Sander's came up short after the raised expectations coming of wins in Wisconsin and Wyoming. This will put her one step closer to the nomination.

1968 was such a good year for progressives tho!

Meh. The "progressive" candidate that year was just an establishment shill who was the family member of a former President, served as a corrupt cabinet member, and capretbagged to represent corporate New York in the Senate. Not to mention, most of his support came from low-information minority voters, and every state he won in the primary voted for Nixon in 1960.

So are they just going to stop updating the vote count for no reason? I recall them updating well later than this in other states.

Is this a record for being off from the exit poll? Hillary was up only 4 points in the exit poll when polls closed.

Maybe. Off the top of my head, Georgia was just as bad.

Exit poll topline (if my math is right):

GA:
Clinton 65%
Sanders 34%

This one especially bad, I think because the exits early samples were so unrepresentative. It came closer to reality the more data came in, the final exits had her at 57.7%... so...

They did note, I think, that the early exits were going to be off. But I don't think they were clear about it's weaknesses as they should have been.

It's just a warning to not take early exits too seriously and if it smells fishy and the raw vote isn't matching... yeah.

I'm glad I only started following this at 11. Thankfully I never even saw the original exit polls Tongue

He sounds a lot like the birthers who were insistent throughout 2009-2011 that Obama would be removed from office, all his signed legislation would become null and void, and Sarah Palin would ride a unicorn into the White House.
