So I may be new to these forums, but I am an addict for government sims.

I was toying with an idea, and was wondering if the people here would be interested in a Quebec Government Sim? I personally think it could be very interesting.

We could perhaps have it that the 1995 referendum passes rather than failed, giving us a time span to incorporate some new history of the Republic. Or we could always have it that the country is brand spanking new, and the government is just establishing.

If I find enough people are interested, I'd probably take some time to set up such a game. Anyone want to offer ideas?

No. A Republic is much more fun.

It makes more sense constitutionally. I wouldn't want Scotland to be a republic as we are by definition still a Kingdom Smiley

What would make the most sense is a non-sovereign "couronne du chef du Québec" for shared institutions (like currency). But there are obvious issues with national identity for that one.

Okay, seems like a good amount of interest. I'll probably work on a forum for it throughout next week. Anyone who wants to volunteer to be a Mod [ We'll need 2-3 ] can PM me over Atlas.
