That is an utterly pathetic haul by Coffman.

Is the Colorado GOP once again gonna commit ritual seppuku and nominate a retard like Tancredo? With so many establishment RINOs, the path looks very much there!

Maybe you should move to Colorado and give him another RINO vote. Smiley

Jesus, I had no idea Stapleton was so loaded. Also, how on Earth has Johnston outraised Polis?

Stapleton is a cousin to the Bushes (where “Walker” originated for him)

Coffman's fundraising is so disappointing. I wonder if some bridges were burned as a result of the Coffman divorce? That would be horribly sad if so...

Could be it. Alternatively, it could just be tough breaking out in a field with Stapleton and Tancredo with their own wings of the party

That’s a pretty poor number for Polis as well. Yeesh.

Isn't Polis super wealthy? I can't remember if it's him or something else, but I thought he was worth a couple hundred million? If so, he can just airdrop in pallets of cash whenever he wants.

Polis probably isn't even bothering to raise much outside money.

He's probably just pacing - now that he knows what the others have he can ramp up his self funding as appropriate.

I don't want to sound optimistic here, but could this mean that even the Trumpets are starting to think Trumpism has lost its edge?

Tancredo dropping out is so baffling to me he had a clear path to winning the nomination. Coffman and Stapleton will no doubt split the establishment vote (what's left of it) and he led all the polls easily thus far. And because of resources? Resources didn't save Strange. I think someone offered him something or he avoiding an incoming bad headline.

He said he knew he’d win the nomination but he just doesn’t see any Rs winning state wide this year and didn’t want to waste his time.

Tancredo realizing how embarrassing it'd be to lose to the Birthday Card Billionaire is incredibly funny.

That's a shame. I wanted to see how badly he'd lose to Polis.

Tancredo in
Tancredo out
Tancredo in
Then you shake it all about
And then you do the hokey pokey
Turn yourself around
That's what it's all about

Tancredo's departure actually benefits the GOP effort here; less controversy for Jared Polis to showcase, exciting fewer of the "outraged" to the polls. Tancredo himself read the tea-leaves: "I do not want to win a primary and lose a general, and I fear that was where we were going." Polis would have exploited the Swiss cheese openings that a Tancredo candidacy would reveal. Stapleton and Coffman are as thick and pure as cream cheese, by comparison.

The problem will be with Polis, who can be blackened as a monochrome Washington pol and hack (which, unfortunately, he is).

The GOP's chances of taking Boettcher Mansion aren't as bad as you think.
