Ross Perot runs a third party candidacy and wins in a massive landslide.

Thank God!

Perot: 526

Ross Perot runs and wins as a third party candidate.

Edit: Just saw that MikeyMike had the same idea. Great minds think alike! Well, that and this scenario is fairly obvious...

There is no third party or independent candidate in this scenario.

It is between Keyes and Jackson only.  They are the only two choices.

Perot was going to run in 1992, irregardless of who was nominated. He lead most of the early campaign, and was only hurt by his dropout and re-entry. If he would've stayed the whole way, he might've become the first Independant President, because Clinton would not have been able to focus solely on Bush for those weeks.

Perot would run, and Perot would win. Jackson and Keyes are both highly unfit for elective office. Both are arrogant, extremely self-centered men, who would only cause chaos through thier extreme unfitness. Neither had the temperment (For that matter, neither did Perot) or the ability to unite a country in the midst of a recession. It would be a catastrophe if either had been elected.
