I'd appreciate if more senators came to vote on this important issue before this Senate ends.

I would like to hear the president's reasoning before I vote.

I would like to hear the president's reasoning before I vote.

Judging by the activity level of our President, that isn't all that likely....

4-0-1 is the current count.

I sent the President a message yesterday, it doesn't appear that he has any desire to provide an explanation, as he has neither answered that PM nor has he made any statement in this thread.

I wouldn't like this bill to go to hell just because everybody is waiting on an explanation that isn't going to come.....we've only got about 2 days left, I urge my fellow senators to vote as soon as possible.

The SoEA urges Senators to vote in favour of the veto override.

Bleh. I am so tired of the middle east. I don't really care whether or not the veto is overridden.

Edit: After some reflection, I am changing my vote to aye as that would better speed up the process. Not that it matters, anymore.

I've sent 2 personal messages to the President....I'm becoming increasingly convinced that he has no interest in explaining anything.

I really hope that my fellow senators will finish what we've started....there's only little more than one day until the next Senate begins.

I don't understand the abstentions. If you supported the bill before than why don't you all support it now? A veto shouldn't change anything.

So do those abstainations effectivly serve as NAY votes?  Thats always been my understanding in veto overrides.

Yes but unless something changed people still have 24 hours to change their votes.

I'll change my vote, I suppose, as the person taking my seat in a day or whenever supports it.

Aye

I don't necessarily support it, and I think it could be much better, but I think the sudden switch from Aye to Abstain was a strange maneuver.

Thanks to all those that helped pass this override despite our President's laziness. It is much appreciated.
