Question 2

Invalidated vote: Earth (due to being too new to vote)

I think Afleitch/No VP votes are invalid and probably flow to the next preference. Also, Afleitch/Meeker and SPC/DWDL were not accepted by one of the people on the ticket and would flow to the next preference or exhaust. I'm not sure but Al/Lewis and Moderate/Verily may not have been accepted by one of the people on the tickets.

Sorry to nitpick, but I always update the Wiki pages for Presidential elections and little consistencies get to me! Especially when I'm on the ballot. Wink

Just a note, Al's Senate ballot was spoiled because he marked off 4 options with x's, making his vote unclear.

Would he still count as being an accepted write-in candidate? Wink

Most parties tend to die within 12-18 months of their founding. It will be interesting to see how long the SDP and RPP last.

Can we expect an update soon so we have a better idea the numbers going into the elections?

yup

Earl, Marokai can move now. The first move is free.

What makes you say this...?

That's an awfully loose interpretation. Do we have any precedent regarding this?

Hmm, that's interesting. I can't say I agree with that interpretation though that's clearly how past SoFAs have interpreted it.

On the other hand, if we want to get into details, I believe MaxQue technically missed the candidate declaration deadline by 14 minutes.

I'm pretty sure Boris changed to JCP a while ago.

Flyers did register recently, but he's probably too new to count. Nevertheless he'll be valid for the Presidential election, I believe.

And yeah, it looks like it is seven days.

This stuff is confusing... Undecided

I added the Fairness to the Voter Amendment II to the Constitution as the 24th Amendment. If there are any others that need to be added, please tell me. I may have to bump the Fairness Amendment to 25 or 26, etc if there are others missing before it... Tongue

So what's the number of days registered requirement for voting on constitutional amendments (and why hasn't a Northeast opened a voting booth for the death penalty amendment)?  If someone votes early to make sure their vote gets in (but would be eligible at the end of the voting period), is it still counted?

I like how people voted for Andrew over me because I wasn't "active" enough. lolz

You really don't get to make those jokes while you refuse to appoint a nominee to the vacant GM position.

Uh oh, looks like I struck a nerve!

So far I've only found one qualified person for the position, but he wasn't interested! Sad

Tends to happen when people refuse to do their jobs and then harp on others for the same infraction.

I'm not required to appoint a GM, newb. The seven Presidents immediately preceding me did not appoint any.

Shouldn't I win then too because I had more first prefs that Fritz?

That's what I thought as well.

The only ballot I'm still upset about is Gustaf.

I agree. If BK's vote counts...

But if you got rid of BK's vote, wouldn't you have to also get rid of Andy Jackson's vote, keeping the winner the same?

Would Einzige's vote really be invalidated instead of just counted as NOTA?

Earl, I was updating the Wiki results. But when calculating the percents, I noticed that you have 102 votes in the first round and 105 votes in the second round?

I must admit I'm a bit worried that Earl may not open the voting booth in a timely manner...!
