Long rant via Twitter this morning, apparently trigger by the McGahn story yesterday. Starting here:

For a man with nothing to hide (except his tax returns) he seems quite upset with an investigation run by a Republican appointee (who is himself a Republican and conservative), overseen by his own appointee, conducted by the agency that handed him the election at the last moment.

The fact that Trump apparently thinks John Dean was the villain in Watergate is rather telling.

ETA: Dean weighs in --

This is Deja Vu for those of us who were around during Watergate.

Because, of course, it doesn't matter if they did something criminal.  The only important point to Trump is that they're Republicans.

This is banana republic stuff.  Or maybe just bananas.

Fascist swine still trying to legally shut down dissent.

What's funny about this one, assuming he's talking about Woodward there, is that he's on tape telling Woodward that he thought Woodward was always fair.

In the long run, I don't think Trump would really like to make it easier for people to sue someone for saying nasty things about them. Wink

NBC's primetime ratings were down, but CBS and Fox were up: https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/09/10/nfl-ratings-week-1-cbs-fox-nbc-espn-network-tv.

The Falcons-Eagles game on NBC Thursday night was undoubtedly hurt by rain delaying the start of the game.

I tried giving myself an A+ once in high school.  The teacher was less than amused.

What a great new hashtag!

But it's the (((coastal elitist leftists))) who look down on the common man.

So these mobs are made up of the “common man”?

The crowds at some of those Trump rallies look pretty mobbish.

What are the chances Trump wrote this tweet himself?

Low.

Obviously this should be Adam Schiff.  Typo or deliberate?

LOL, the orange clown just retweeted this and several other crazy stuff from deplorable fan accounts. This dude is supposed to be prez, just to remember.

He needs to go. This is inexcusable. This is beyond political disagreements. Our nation cannot survive an entire political party and 40%+ of the population allowing such behavior. That the GOP refuses to act against him will forever stain them in future history.

Funny is that Rosenstein is also in the picture that accuses his opponents of TREASON. Same with Obama. Was there ever a prez who accused another one of treason?

Jefferson (before he was President) accused Washington of treason over the Jay Treaty.

John Tyler joined the Confederate Congress and could certainly have been accused of treason, although I don't know if he ever was.

There might be other examples.

The dude who is supposed to be prez must be really nervous. Btw, the Mueller report was at 30,000,000$ is his tweet from yesterday. He even can't keep his lies straight. LOL!

Hasn't the Mueller probe resulted in the forfeiture of something like $60 million in assets, mostly from Manafort?  Trump should be happy they're turning a profit! Wink

Lol, Donald Trump now claims he has 50% approval among Hispanics. That's hilarious.

Heard from whom, Stephen Miller? lmao

No, that's actually from the recent NPR/Marist poll, which had Trump at 39/53 among adults and 40/54 among registered voters.

However, the Latin subsample was 15% of all adults (1023 total) and 14% of RV (873 total).  That is, the Latin population was about 150 adults including 120 RV.  In other words: the number is junk.

Both in January.  Maybe Trump should just do a State of the Stock Market speech every year instead of SOTU.

Hillary should keep teasing that she might run until 5 minutes before the DNC starts.  This would keep Trump's attention on her and leave less time for him to attack the other D candidates. Smiley

I saw a comment on Twitter (don't remember from who) that Pirro's show had been suspended for two weeks.

Not a Trump tweet, but I think it fits the spirit of the thread:
