Nowhere near. She'll probably lose, but not by much and will probably be back in 2008.
Madrid is not a very good candidate.

She's supposed to be the heir to Domenici's Senate seat.

So if she loses, she's damaged. The GOP can either run her anyway, or go with a much weaker candidate for that seat and run a weaker candidate against Madrid.

You mean like how Ted Strickland was seriously damaged by losing in 1994?

Btw, it's not as though the NM Reps have many more credible candidates...

But he's running 12 years later.
