I don't count myself as having one given that what money I do have is largely inaccessible to me (in an account that it'd take a bit of effort to access), and that such wealth would hardly cover whatever debt I'm working up while at college. As well, I have no income right now and my only employment is work study. That said, I am looking at a second job possibly next week which would give me some additional income to stave off me dying of a college-cafeteria-related incident.

that is my point.  i dont think he understands debt at all.  i really think he is that financially illiterate.

oftentimes you're able to take out money for living expenses too.  which even in Oklahoma could be set at $10-15k/yr.

I'm expecting us to find out at some point that Bushie is the unexpected beneficiary of a King Ralph-type scenario where he is tangentially related to some wealthy, powerful family who, through a series of unexpected twists and family deaths, find that Bushie has become the sole heir to their fortune.

Bushie won't tell Allison about any of this because he wants her to love him for who he really is. She eventually finds out anyway and accuses him of lying to her and informs him that she is leaving him. In a last ditch effort to stop her, Bushie heads to the airport, forces his way through security, and runs down the concourse screaming Allison's name as she is about to step into the jetway. Obviously no, though the fact that I now have my car paid off and almost have one of my student loan accounts paid off means that my expenses will certainly drop soon.

An interesting point I read once was that some unemployed homeless person who has no debt actually has a greater net worth than most people in the work force. Of course that does not apply to Bushie who both is not working AND has tons of debt.
