https://nypost.com/2024/05/07/us-news/judge-delays-start-of-trump-classified-documents-trial-indefinitely/

A federal judge in South Florida scrapped a planned May 20 trial start date in former President Donald Trump’s classified document case — a move that will likely push proceedings back until after the Nov. 5 election.

In a five-page scheduling order handed down Tuesday, US District Judge Aileen Cannon wrote that fixing a trial date at this time “would be imprudent and inconsistent with the Court’s duty to fully and fairly consider the various pending pre-trial motions … and additional pretrial and trial preparations necessary to present this case to a jury.”

Silver lining: She is not blocking out out the J6 trial happening before the election if we get a SCOTUS miracle.

I want the classified documents trial before the election. The public interest literally could not be higher. J6 trial would be good, but not as desperately needed by the electorate to judge trump's actions and his fitness for office as the documents trial.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's not going to happen.

Reading the court reports from New York City, there may be a chance Trump gets acquittal in Manhattan case, though nothing is certain either way

Now the classified documents case just got postponed indefinitely. Cannon set hearings on motions concerning selective & vindictive prosecution + unlawful appointing & funding of special counsel (i.e. basically put Jack Smith on trial ala Fani)

The January 6th case may go back to the lower courts this summer. Low odds that this case goes to trial before Election Day.

The Georgia RICO case is a question mark because of Fani Willis corruption and licentiousness

Overall, there may be a way out of this legal quagmire for Trump if he escapes the NYC case without conviction

If he wins the election then yes things look good for him until his term ends when he'd have no shield against the Georgia case (and potentially an AZ case).

If he doesn't win, then next year isn't looking so hot for him.
