Few people have imagined this. His social and some fiscal views could fit with the Democratic Party. Perot should've done this in OTL as third parties never win

Ross Perot/Jerry Brown: 52.1% P.V./417 E.V.
George HW Bush/Dan Quayle: 47.4% P.V./121 E.V.

In reality though, it would've made more sense for Ross Perot to run as a Republican since he was one for the later part of his life and endorsed every Republican nominee after his last run except for Trump.

Bush had a lock on the Republican nomination, and third parties never win a Presidential Election.

Bush had a lock on the Republican nomination, and third parties never win a Presidential Election.

If he was aiming for a major party nomination, he probably would have started preparing for the 1996 Republican primaries instead.

Interesting, but Perot was a bit too progressive on social issues to do well in a Republican primary.

Perot would have carried Arkansas.   Bush would have carried Texas, Montana, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, and Florida.  I am also not certain that Perot would have won Ohio.

If Perot were the Democratic nominee he may not have been viewed that way.
