Well, as I'm sure you intended that did not help.  I'm just as ignorantof 'kit' as 'strip' when it comes to mens' blousing.  But now that he mentioned 'football jersey', I have some rough idea.

By the by, as it is now 'off duty hours' I took my five-thirty shower (two showers a day a must for Thailand outside the 4 cool months) and have now donned a red seventies polo in lieu of the dress shirt, and also jettisoned the black dress slip-ons for brown flip flops.

Actually I thought you might be more familiar with the term. So Americans use neither kit nor strip. Interesting,.

No, for us 'strip' means to take off clothing, and 'kit' means something you build yourself from a collection of parts, or just a collection of things to be used together, like a 'First Aid Kit'.

I guess there's an obvious connection there somewhere.

What's a 'barbershop t-shirt'?  Sounds interesting.

I like it!  Girls in pajama pants are cute.

Wow you guys both sound like 'Dudes'!

And to Cutie, what is an 'oracle shirt'?

As for me at the moment I'm wearing roomy pleated Thai black dress slacks, a soft dark green asian polo (with three buttons and a pocket - not like those horrible polos sold nowadays in the US), and one black and one red flip flop.

Oh and because we're talking about clothes in here:

Screw the artificially worn clothes. Damn I'm looking for some new pants currently and that's hard to find something "normal".
