Trump's new top campaign aide was... a lobbyist for the Pakistani Intelligence's front group.

You see, things like this, with the Trump campaign clearly not doing their homework before hiring people, is one of the more terrifying aspects of a potential Trump presidency.

Another interesting connection: Manafort's lobbyist firm was Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly.  You get three guesses about who the "Stone" in that firm is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black,_Manafort,_Stone_and_Kelly

They're an evil group of people.  Meanwhile, the remaining named partners of the firm, Charlie Black and Peter Kelly, have been hired by John Kasich.  Coincidence?  I don't think so.  I think Kasich and Trump are working together.

The Daily Beast had a story last week with more details about the lobbying efforts by Manafort and Stone's lobbying firm:

Many more examples listed in the article.  Betsy Woodruff, who co-wrote the story, recently talked about it on Bloggingheads:

This is great.  Trump finally getting around to adding some political hitmen to his staff.   Very much needed moving forward.

$20 million cash infusion and staff shakeup suggest Trump is getting serious, which I think should refute the claims that he was purposefully sabotaging his campaign. I actually had entertained that thought, but if he was, I don't think he would be doing this.

Trump should go all in on IND as it appears to be tied with Cruz there.     If he somehow beats Cruz in IND it will pretty much be the end of teds campagain.

Next thing you know, Trump's campaign will be declaring that it is enriching uranium at 20% "purely for research purposes."
