After thinking about it overnight, my wife and fully hope the citizens of Alabama  will elect Moore.  The Democrats, who for over 40 years supported a man who allowed a young woman to die in pond and helped his nephew tear apart a woman who accused the nephew of rape have no moral standing to attack Moore.  The same folks supported a President who provenly took advantage of a a 21 year old lady, who was accused of  rape and numerous other sexual offenses.  They even wanted to let his wife piggy back him into the White House again.

Where was the Republican leadership in those 40 year not denouncing Kennedy and demanding every year that he leave the Senate.

I registered this summer to post here.  I hesitated because so many of you seem to have so much more knowledge than I do.  This is my first post because I am really angry.

Because your reaction would have been exactly the same in 2000 or 2012. We need not list all the reasons why victims might remain silent for so long when they are preyed upon by men in positions of power. You are demonstrating why right now.

Please stop denigrating the voters of Alabama.  If they elect Moore, they are no worse than the voters of Massachusetts, who reelected a man who committed to a DUI, which led to the death of a young lady, whom he made no significant efforts to safe, reported the accident many hours latter, and then used his influence to avoid the consequences of his actions, that any of the rest of us would have to face.

Now Democrats later in 2000 considered DUIs so significant, that they spent the whole weekend before the election explaining to the nation why Bush 43s failure to disclose a DUI when he was 18 disqualified him from being elected.

Another point: stop denigrating them till you see what they do.

I am afraid some of you are as puritanical as some of those you criticize.  I know it is hard to see ones own faults.  I miss some of mine.

Even if we accepted your false equivalency, two wrongs don't make a right. You're basically arguing that your party is owed its one freebie sex predator senator, no questions asked.
