Let's just say that Rick Santorum clinches the Republican nomination, and John Wolfe Jr. is the Democratic nominee in 2016.

How does the map look like?

Also imagine the results in the south!

Attorney John Wolfe, Jr. (D-TN)/Frmr. Sen. Evan Bayh (D-IN): 456 EV
Frmr. Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA)/Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ): 82 EV

I chose Obama '08 and Romney 2012 VP short-listers as well.

No one is particularly enthused about either candidate, save for conservative Christians (Santorum) and libertarians (Wolfe). Because Wolfe is, within the paradigms of this campaign, the moderate, he crushes Santorum in a mega landslide (a Wolfeslide, if you will).

Wolfe isn't libertarian at all! He is no where near one!

Just asking, how would John Wolfe win the nomination? Did every serious candidate die in a tragic stage collapse at a debate or something?

Dear God, a viable situation where I would vote third party...

I do like Tim Scott though.

He's anti-Fed. That would help him garner at least some support from libertarians.

Yeah, libertarians would have to support him, considering they have no party of their own.
