Afghanistan- six years on

I read an article today about how the US is anticipating a long stay there.  The article talked about the expansion of what was supposed to be a temporary base and the fact that the Bush administration underestimated the amount of time, resources, ect. that would be needed to quash the Taliban and Al-Qeada.  One of the people interviewed said that the Bush team only had eyes fro Iraq to begin with.

If only we had just stayed on course in Afghanistan instead of trying to wage a global war on terror we might be in a completely different place right now.
