Perhaps instead of "civilian" you can use "pale face." How would you rate the red men doctors? Are their facilities up to the standards of the medical care the rest of us use? Are the doctors injuns also or merely MDs of any nationality that the tribe pays to treat members?

The IHS is run by the Feds AFAIK and anyone can work for it, and most are non-Native American.

The Indian Clinic I go to has the same level of medicine as any non-Indian clinic.  The only thing different is it uses the generic instead of the brand name drugs.  The facilities are the same.  A lot of the staff are Indians and I think each particular tribe employs its fellow tribesmen.  There are some non-Indians that work there, especially in the pharmacy.

My headache just laughed at the shot.  It's still blaring away.  Mom gets these shots quite  often and thinks it may take some time for it to start working.  I'm going to try to go the rest of the day without taking anything.

Anyway, I will be meeting the bride and groom at the church at 1600 to show them the facilities and get their final decision on whether to use the church or not for their wedding.  If they decide to use the church, I will be getting the Minister's Handbook out of the Pastor's Office and brushing up on what to say during the ceremony which will be Saturday evening.  This will be my very first wedding to perform and I was very honest and told the bride that up front.  It doesn't seem to have made her change her mind, but I'll find out for sure about an hour from now.

They've had several cancellations in terms of venues and ministers, so they were left scrambling at the eleventh hour.  I was very happy to oblige and they were very happy with the facilities.  We'll have a rehearsal tomorrow evening at 1700 and the wedding will be Saturday at 1800.

We have two buildings.  The sanctuary is an old Army Barracks from Tinker AFB and the back building is our Sunday School Building/Fellowship Hall.  We have our dinners in the back building.  It will be their job to tell the guests.  They are expecting ~50 guests.

It took about 6 hours for the shot to take effect, so its still working, but it has knocked my headache out of the migraine category to the moderately severe category.  On a 10 point scale, it was hovering between an 8.5 and 9.0 out of 10, now it's hovering between 6.0-6.5.

Thankfully, since this is my very first wedding to perform, I have a cheat sheet!  I have a little minister's handbook that lays out exactly what to say in a wedding ceremony.  It even has the Bible Verses I should use and what I should say as my sermon, so I don't have to hunt for anything to say.  It's all right there laid out in front of me.  It even looks like a small Bible so it is not recognizable to the audience as a cheat sheet.

I'm okay with that.  They've had the wedding itself planned for a long time, they've just had a lot of cancellations of ministers and venues that they were left scrambling.

With the wedding, my weekend has just gotten very, very busy.  Tomorrow, I've got to mentally prepare myself and go over my notes that I've jotted down and then be to the church by 1600 so I can help move some furniture, such as the pulpit and such to clear the stage.  The rehearsal is at 1700 and will likely take until 1830, I imagine.  I will have Bible Study tomorrow evening from 1830-2030.  Saturday, it will be imperative that I eat a good breakfast so I can have energy throughout the day.  I need to start getting dressed about 1230 and open the church up by 1400 for the wedding party.  The wedding ceremony will be at 1800 followed by the reception.  So, I may not be home until 2200-2300.  Sunday, I've got church that morning and then a birthday pool party for my cousin's son who is turning 7.  At 1730, I've got a dinner with the Kenya team at a restaurant in Oklahoma City, so I likely won't be home until 2000.  Monday may be a good day to rest.

I'm not a bad player.  I'm not great by any means, but I've improved my serve especially.  I still can't volley too well, but my serve has improved.
