Treaty of Cadiz
1. The Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Spain acknowledge the importance of maintaining stability and peace in the Iberian Peninsula and the surrounding waters.
2. The Portuguese Republic agrees to halt all activities which might interfere with the internal stability of the government of the Kingdom of Spain and to immediately recall any persons under its employ who might have interfered with said stability.
3. The Portuguese Republic will turn any property or land currently occupied by its armed forces that are acknowledged as outside its jurisdiction to the legitimate government of the Kingdom of Spain and its armed forces.
4. The Kingdom of Spain will return the Spanish Territories on the Gulf of Guinea to the custody of the Portuguese Republic.
5. The Kingdom of Spain and the Portuguese Republic will work together to foster greater ties between each other and similar nations.
