It was nice to move folks from the DC, PR, Guam, etc. delegations up front instead of their usual locations in the way back.

Christie's speech is very good. Nice mix of base and indie appeal.

From what people has been saying and based on Anne's speech, I get the sense that Mitt is not going for the humanizing approach. I think Mitt is going to own his persona. He's a successful biz guy. His message will be, it's a complex world and things are tough, but dont worry I've got this.

i think Pawlenty should try to live up to his movie trailer videos. He should drop into the stage on a wire ala Mission Impossible.

So far Huck is sticking to the party line. But I am betting he will make some mention of how the party needs to support ALL their senatorial candidates.

Well Mike didnt go rogue, alas. Unless of course you consider accusing the President of infanticide as rogue, but most probably didn't notice that bit.

None of the 3  broadcast nets are covering Condi, ABC and NBC opening with Isaac, CBS has political roundtable.

yes but NBC also noted that it was weird that she started speaking before primetime. ABC is now running the Bush video and CBS is still previewing Ryan

I am guessing they have something planned for after Ryan and moved things around. I bet Romney is going to come out

They are letting Martinez speak after she insulted the memory of Gen. Custer?

Somebody yelled "U.S.A.!" near the end of Martinez's speech when she gave some lines in Spanish!

Well at least they didnt throw peanuts at her.

I thought Ryan's speech was going to be the fire up the base speech. But so far seems a bit tepid in the hall. Anne Romney and Chris Christie got a better reaction

AC/DC and Zeppelin are from a younger generation?   I guess if you are from the Glen Miller Generation.

I really dont like the 'our rights come from nature and god and not from government'....not only is it insulting to the non-religious, it is clearly not accurate. Our rights come from the constitution, the founding document of the government

Watching MSNBC can by funny for a minute but it gets to be parody after a while. CNN and PBS have the best coverage

I'm hoping that Clint comes out wearing dark robes with a hood, only to pull it back at the last dramatic moment....he will then rip off the robes revealing he is carrying not one but two Smith & Wesson revolvers which he will calmly place on the podium and make no mention of.

you got that punk?

When watching Mitt's speech it is worth keeping in mind that his campaign has zeroed in on white women as the key demo to flip to his side, specifically uneducated white women and suburban married white women. They are the key to getting him to that magical number of 61% of total whites. They arleady have the white men and know they are losing single white women and educated white women.

Diane Sawyer had a hart hitting interview with Paul Ryan, asking him what his mom said to him last night and then talked about family photos. Journalism!

Have I missed it? Wasn't there supposed to be some "huge" thing from Trump?

Apparently the Trump "surprise" was part of what was lost on Monday.

I think it was a video with Trump "firing" an Obama impersonator. Which would have been laughably lame, so they dodged a bullet with that one.
