One thing you are seeing with both Rubio and with Clint and will see with Romney is "Obama is a nice guy but a failure" thing. They are trying to pivot from the red meat partisan stuff to appeal to those white women who voted for Obama and still like him personally, but are unsure if they will vote for him again.

Rubio's boilerplate speech is definitely running too long. At least it is in the wake of the Eastwood debacle, which almost definitely ran longer than it was supposed to...
