Gillibrand seems like the anti-pence and could make him look like a nutjob on social issues.

The guy who crushed him in the VP debate. The guy who was apart of the ticket that won 2.8 million more votes than President Trump. The one and only, the People's Vice President: Timothy Michael Kaine.

Bernie Sanders would be the worst.

Kaine is a fine man, but not agressive enough to take on Pence (let alone Trump). Pence made a better impression to me in the VP debate, despite the fact that I don't agree on anything he said.

His approvals will TANK once people find out he loves breadlines, Castro, Venezuela, and the sick messed up stuff he wrote about women rape fantasies.

This. I still think he can pull it off, but it certainly won't be the Bernieslide that many think it will be.

I like Kaine, and while I appreciate what he was trying to do in the VP debate, he came off very badly doing so. He didn't keep his cool well, and kept interrupting. Pence kept his cool and easily brushed off his statements. Plus I just don't think Tim Kaine is very exciting unfortunately

You have to get someone who has strong appeal in the Midwest and is a dynamic speaker. Pence won't excite a base like Trump will but he is also inoffensive, meaning that Dems would have an advantage if they can inspire their base to show up. I don't know who best fits that criteria right now byt it sure as hell isn't Biden, Kaine, etc.

Sanders would have for that criteria best last year, but he has to stay healthy and got or else people will judge him by how much older he looks than Pence / Trump.

Pence is a diabolical sociopath so not much rattles him.

I will say Joe Biden or Kirsten Gillibrand.
