Obviously we need some degree of border security, but if the only options are nothing and building another Iron Curtain, I'll go with nothing.

Especially on the Canadian side where I totally favor an open border.

First, I never referred to Ernest as a lefty (and he did not answer the question).

Second, I am insufficiently familiar with Franzl, so I cannot refer to him as a lefty, even though he does seem to oppose border security (his answer referred only to the northern border).

Third, please cite on poster whom you consider a 'lefty' who has posted on this thread in favor of border security.

Lief and BRTD are the only 2 lefties who posted, and Lief just said he opposed the wall........I think those who truly oppose the wall are even greater than what you cited.

I must say, nobody on this forum has done more for the advocacy of open borders than CarlHayden ) Every time he posts, another person stops taking the arguments in favor of closing the border seriously ))

Facts get cavalierly dismissed.

What would be nice to see people honestly state their support for open borders, amnesty, ect. like BRTD has done rather than lying.

If you check the opening post on this thread you will have some idea of the position of the voters.

If we can just end the dishonesty, we can resolve the situation.

Because I have not come across any actual data that allows me to distinguish between the crime rates of illegal aliens and legal aliens.  You claim to have some, so if you'd kindly provide actual sources instead of simply claiming the data are out there, I'd be more than happy to look at it.
