However, negotiations between V, S, and C are all going very badly

V demands to be included in an agreement with an Andersson government, but C won't accept that. S offered to comply with all their policy demands. But V wants to have an agreement with S, MP and C - which is impossible because C refuses. Thus a PM-vote on Andersson (likely on 24 Nov) could result in a defeat.

Also on 24 Nov is the budget vote: M/KD/SD's budget will pass if V or C don't support the S/MP-govt budget, and it’s still unclear how V and C will vote in the budget vote.

The compromise on forest and shore nature protection will likely be defeated in parliament as V has announced they will vote against, which was a condition from C to vote for Andersson. Looking increasingly bleak now for S but idk what the other outcome will be.

I'm not sure what news sources you're reading, but so far there is no deal between S and V and V held a press conference at 3 pm saying they're prepared to vote against Andersson if they don't reach a deal.

So pretty hard for C to have anything to say about a deal that doesn't exist yet.

The Speaker of Parliament nominates Magdalena Andersson again to become prime minister on Monday.

Yesterday she was approved on a S/MP minority government.
On Monday she will be approved on a minority coalition with only S.

Okay, so the Liberals want to table a motion of no-confidence against Andersson over the issue of nuclear power in mid-December.

This is so f-ing stupid. WHY would you invoke a motion of no-confidence against a government just two weeks after they are installed? This is just childish, what are we gonna do? Invoke with motions of no confidence every week in the hope one SAP/Mp/V/C MP messes up and then we have 175 votes against?

In the end, all this does is just put Magdalena Andersson and the SAP in a better position: they are the only ones who stayed calm and stable while all other parties were going crazy and doing a bunch of performative sh*t.

The Moderates tried to convince the Speaker of the Riksdag to give Kristersson a chance, but the speaker of parliament said that were a childish thing to do (and the Speaker is from the Moderates, which makes this all extra embarrassing).

So, more drama:

M+SD+KD+L have said they are going to table of motion of no confidence against Morgan Johansson, who has served as Justice Minister since 2014 and Interior Minister since 2021, blaming him for Sweden's high & increasing crime rate.

Andersson has said that if he resigns, then the whole government will resign, because she argues that he is one of the three central ministers who will guide Sweden through the NATO process. He is also one of three ministers who are part of the government's security policy council (the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister and the Justice Minister) In addition, the Minister of Justice is responsible for, among other things, Sweden's civil readiness, civil defense, the Säkerhetspolisen (like the secret service) and cyber security. He is also responsible for Sweden's arms export legislation and terrorism legislation, issues updated by Sweden's NATO application process.

While the Centre Party and Greens have been fiercely critical of this development, the Left Party is assumed that it will not support the motion of no confidence even if it could derail the NATO application, since it would happen basically regardless of who is in power because V is the only party that doesn't support it, so it would just be stupid and self-defeating.

There is, however, a question mark around independent Amineh Kakabaveh who doesn't rule out to vote him down in order to show her discontent with joining NATO and Andersson having to negotiate with Turkish President Erdogan. She will probably come around but she holds the balance of power as the sole independent member of parliament between the blocs that have 174 seats each.

So that's fun.
