Ignoring the kneejerk from the Dems and leftists, this was the best decision. I am against faithless electors in general and believe they should be fined no matter the state.

If you're going to fine them (giving the implication that faithless votes are wrong), why not invalidate faithless votes altogether?

That would also be a good idea if implementable. Would it be done at the state or federal level, though?
