Scott Walker won by a landslide three times, then Trump and Johnson carried the state in 2016.

No. It is a purple state, and has been since the 1990's.

For people arguing Scott Walker, don't forget that Massachusetts re-elected its Republican governor with 70% of the vote in 1994, but that didn't make Massachusetts a red state.

No, Ive already gone into it. State is trending D, due to growth in Dane, and AA turnout. Hillary would have won the state, actually, if AA turnout didnt drop from its average 90%(going back to 2000) to 60%

No. It was skirting the line in 2000 and 2004 too, and then it went for Obama by a super large margin in 2008 and comfortably so in 2012. Wisconsin is changing but I don't see how anyone could argue it's a red state.

It’s not a red state (at least not yet), but it’s trending Republican.

The only solid analysis here. Wisconsin is the next West Virginia. National Dems insulting the Midwest will ensure it.

It's definitely a purple state right now. Whether or not it will continue to trend Republican is yet to be seen, but Baldwin winning easily while Walker loses should certainly give the folks calling it "Wississippi" pause. My guess is that it at least remains competitive for the foreseeable future.

but the question was if it’s TURNING into a red state not if it is one right now

Fair point. I don't think it's turning into one either, ftr. Although that depends on how you want to classify a "red state." I can see Wisconsin remaining a purple state for some time yet.

It has moved in that direction (like the rest of the Great Lakes states minus Illinois), but it is worth keeping in mind that Wisconsin, like its neighbor Iowa, is very elastic and therefore swings in one direction shouldn't necessarily be seen as permanent.
