BLM riots delivering Minnesota to Trump?

You gotta imagine this makes it even less likely that the Republican convention is held in Charlotte.  The coronavirus is a valid reason for not holding a political convention this year.  Holding a political convention for a racist president in a city that is 35% black and majority non-white in the present environment on top of that is a recipe for disaster.  

If they riot at the convention that would give Trump an even bigger boost. Trump was against the cop too, he wasn't on the wrong side of this.

Why does everyone think this will help Trump? I know law & order is a big part of his appeal, but he's been in office a full term, and where's the law & order? Did the LA Riots in 1992 help Bush?

Trump is the one calling for the national guard to stop the riots. Also fear helps promote conservatism most of the time. The Midwest is trending R and this will likely increase the speed of that when more cities are destroyed.

Yes, MN is now very much in play and arguably one could say that Trump might even have a better chance of winning it than Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The thing is that all of these riots are happening in D states/ and D cities, which means Democrats can't blame the GOP for this since Minnesota is fully controlled by them. As for leadership, Trump is stopping the riots, he sending national guard, and just is about declare ANTIFA a terrorist organization. People want order returned to their cities, which is what the President is supporting.
