It's probably not too different from the actual result due to polarization and low turnout. I assume Quayle gets the same last-minute surge Dole did.

While Quayle does have plenty of weaknesses, one strength he would have is that he's not as easy to tie to the Republican Congress as Dole was. I do wonder if the Northeast would've still swung D as much as it did, but Quayle probably does worse than Dole in the West.
