I brought up the repeal of the Discriminatory Training bill because it teaches that people of different ethnicities are superior or that white people owe them something for a sin committed by their ancestors. It's not to say that there isn't racism or ignorance but the type of programs that my colleagues wish to implement have not and will not effectively solve the problem of racism. We are not guilty of the sins of our ancestors and I think it is appropriate in the place called Lincoln to promote policies that promote equality as my CRA bill did.
