The party ID is off a lot in this poll, in the 2016 exit polls, the electorate was +1D, this poll has it at +8D, has there really been such a huge shift in party affiliation in Maine in 4 years, a 7% shift when all other polls like Pew Research show nationally there has been no change in relative party identification.

The sample itself is.46-43 Clinton, perfectly in line with the actual results. Party is fluid, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people who were previously Indies now identified as democrats.
