Bump

I'm thinking of something to reduce mess around candidates in the at-large election and the deadline.

If you have any suggestion, say them here or write me. That is for all Atlasians, not only Pacificans

I'll propose something at the beginning of the next session.

Aye, that would be much appreciated. I used to be in favor of it, but there's really no need for it at all.

I am in favor of abolishing the deadline, but I thought than this idea would be too radical to be accepted by more than a few persons. Apparently, I was false.

Personally, I never saw the utility of a deadline for candidacy, other than the beginning of the election itself.

The moment of the official beginning of the election (00:00 EST of the election day) is sufficient for that.

It's easier for the SoFA if he has no deadlines to worry about.

Or even 12-24 hours ahead of balloting to allow last minute changes in the ballot.

So, I am talking today because I am angry at some Atlasians.

I know than my English isn't good, but, if you want to say something about this, please say it to me, not to someone else!

I am really tired of people saying things to me through someone else!

So, you perhaps noticed than I am not very present in Senate this session.

I'm sorry for that, but I am very busy.

Because of that, I'm taking my responsibilities and I won't seek another term.

Very sad to hear that. Sad You and Marokai were the Senators I best identified with ideologically.

Here's praying your successor will at least have a negative economic score...

Note: I'm not running for any position. I'm sorry to sadden you like that. I'll see if I run if any position is empty or open. Any position.

Given I'm running for Regional Kommissær of the Midwest Region, I suppose I should bump my former campaign/office thread to prepare my campaign.

No long declaration yet, as I hasn't planned running until the day I declared and I'm pretty busy with previous engagements this week, but this should get in place pretty soon.

Stay tuned!

Hi, dear citizens.

*hughughug*

Since the late hour and the rather complexity of the current deadlock, that speech will be quite short.

My analysis of the current Constitution leads me to various points.
1. The current Wizard is not able to fulfill his duties.
2. The Wizard can't be challenged until February.
3. Even if he resigns, there is no mechanism to replace him.
4. The Althing can't pass anything, it can only introduce legislation and debate it. It can only vote during the designated vote period. The next is in February.

Conclusion: We are stuck in a deadlock because of a poorly written Constitution.
So, what are the next steps?

If anyone can see a way of going around them or can find a loopole, he will receive warm greetings from me and would give a great service to the Republic.

On my side, I'll seek legal advice with lawyers to find a way to solve that problematic situation.

I appoint Wyodon as interim Most Serene Representative (to replace Sewer Socialist, expelled for inactivity), as he is running for office since more than a month and than he is from the same party than the former Representative.

I would like to offer my condoleances to people which have been affected by the rail tragedy in Québec.

Also, that train left from US and was about to enter Maine and this could have very much happened in Atlasia. So, I think than we should get together and write tighter regulations.

It shouldn't be allowed to leave trains transporting dangerous materials without anybody watching them, nor transporting said materials in wagons that are known to be too thin for that.

Regulations got too lax and must be tightened. I'll propose a bill to that end soon.
