Incredible situation developing in Tasmania with 270 Pilot Whales stranded on a sandbar on the West Coast.

380 died. 50 saved.

Still working on the remainder.

This could have been caused simply by two young ones getting into trouble, and due to the social bindings, all the others come to rescue them, and get stranded as well.
