for the most part i avoid clothing with giant text on it

I do this as well, actually.  It ruins the aesthetic for me for some reason.

Just give me a plain black t-shirt.

Point is to avoid t-shirts entirely. Flannel in the winter and Hawaiian in the summer.

Include an oxford shirt for the fall and I'm in.

Dichotomy is cold/hot. Oxford has no place in this.

But fall is in the middle anyway. You're "from Maryland". You know our weather.
