Why is atheism/libertarianism so common on the Internet?

Part of it is that the internet has no clear authority figure and both atheism and libertarianism are skeptical of authority.

No, but I'm referring to the type of 'libertarianism' that actually has some vague influence on public policy, which tends to be corporatist.

I just wanted to point out that 'corporatist' refers to someone who follow corporatism, which is Mussoulini's theory that parts of a society should act together as one body. I'm pretty sure libertarians aren't a fan of that. I think the word you're looking for is 'corporatocratic'.
