Standing up for the rule of law, due process, and human rights is not the same as "cheering" the outcome here.

Who wouldn't get angry over the release of someone who committed murder and treason

Perhaps you should consider directing some of that anger at the government officials who bungled the case because they couldn't be bothered to gather evidence the legal way.
