I disagree.  I think breaking ties with Israel would cause them to act desperately, which could put our troops in danger in Iraq.  I also think there would be nothing to hold Israel back from pushing the arabs out of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. 
In all honesty, if that occurred there would be crippling sanctions, which alone will spell the end for the Jewish state as it exists (not including the crippling damage done when flights out of Tel Aviv are jam-packed with educated, wealthy, and secular Jews).
