What does that even mean?

What does he think of the wall around the Vatican?

Isn't he saying that it is wrong to only think of walls (to divide people) and not think of building bridges (to unite people)? The Vatican built the wall there historically since numerous nations have tried invading the Vatican. It's not some type of scapegoat to try to gain a false sense of security and divide them from the rest of the world.

Don't forget that most of those walls at the Vatican are now open.
