Due to all the redistricting projects no doubt.
What's up with the no. three? That's a simple one really - it's got five letters. One doesn't. Two doesn't. Four doesn't. Five doesn't. Six doesn't.

Here's an idea for a modification to your program that might be fun.  Count word usage by subject, broken into categories like:
Social Issues: abortion, gay marriage, civil unions, civil rights, affirmitive action, strip club, etc.
Economic Issues: tax, spend, poverty, deficit, budget, property rights, labor, etc.
Foreign Policy: terror, Iraq, military, defense, al Qaida, etc.

Then come up with averages for word usage by topic by measuring many members.  You can next compare single members against the averages and we can see if their "hot button" issues are really what we think they are.

Count subsets of words as words (terror counts "terror" as well as "terrorism", "terrorist", etc.).
That'd probably a hell of a lot more difficult to write.

WMS
think - 297
right - 225
support - 198
chavez - 121
albuquerque - 116
I don't think it's right that WMS talks about his lack of support for Chavez so much when Chavez isn't even from Albuquerque. Cheesy

Hey, you're the only one that's got "Lewis" listed. Why the hell's that?

On an unrelated note, I'd like to request Angus' vocab.

afleitch

Total words used: 12179

labour - 352
people - 275
think - 269
party - 247
support - 222
should - 214
bush - 211
right - 182
believe - 172

Thank you Smiley

Most of my words are more political than I would have thought.
Since words of four or fewer letters don't count...
"Labour people think that party support should bush to the right, I believe."

Well, let's compare...
Lewis Trondheim

Total words used: 24850

county - 833
think - 791
right - 715
south - 705
people - 698
state - 686
course - 607

republican - 376

Apparently, Lewis likes counties. Smiley

And "three" is back... what's up with the number three?

Also, Lewis has set a new high score for "most unique words used".
Lewis Trondheim

Total words used: 25651 (high score!)

county - 926
seats - 681
state - 656
think - 652
south - 648
right - 631
votes - 614
people - 583
party - 547
north - 533
first - 518

So, since august I've said
first - at least 221
because - at least 137

district - 69
county - 93
votes - 56
counties - 9
voted - 9
result - at least -3
guess - -3 maximum
north - -4

years - -16 maximum
republican - -20
labour - -23

I wouldn't have thought that many posts had got deleted. Huh
At least I've used 801 words I hadn't used before.

The last time around that we did this, I seem to recall I had the most words. Due to all those redistricting threads no doubt. Smiley
