Historic Night for Labor: Sweeping Gains across the South!

For the first time since the constitutional convention, Labor have made unprecedented gains in the South, winning not just the Governors' office, but also gaining a clear majority in the Southern Chamber of Delegates. This unprecedented achievement shows, that all three regions in Atlasia have trusted the Labor Party with the most important task of all- governing.

Governor-Elect Never-Again will be leading this effort in the south, and will begin to work to fight for activity, prosperity and progress for all citizens. He will be aided by three brilliant rising stars in Labor- Justintimecuber, fhtagn and Jacobin. This continues a trend that has been seen across Atlasia, where a new, fresh and energetic generation of leadership is emerging at the regional level.

Only Labor can stand up for Activity, Prosperty and Progress across Atlasia.
If you value it, vote for it. (X) Labor

I usually just assign random pictures to people unless I can remember them using a specific person in the past. Tongue In this case, I went with Averell Harriman for Mike because he was a Democratic NY politician around the same as time as Truman (the first one) and Kefauver, and because the black-and-white picture matched the others. I can change it if Mike wants me to, though.

He told me he doesn't care. I just remembered that he used McNulty one time.

Another Historic Night for Labor!

Labor HQ begins it's celebrations after a historic victory

In one of the best senate campaigns seen in Atlasia, SJoyce has swept through the south, and has become the first laborite to ever represent the South in the Senate. Sjoyce ran a truly inspirational campaign that brought together laborites, federalists and independents in the common cause of ensuring that we have active, energetic office holders who will stand up for all Atlasians.

This election result is also a historic result for Labor- who now have 4 out of the 6 senate seats. Labor will continue to stand up for progress, prosperity and activity in Atlasia, and I know that Sjoyce will be a great champion for these cauuces in the senate.

After two weeks to help Labor colleagues work on a bill that would ensure affordable rents for all Atlasians, the federalist caucus suddenly turned up to vote against introducing rent controls. It's vital that all Atlasians work together to tackle these important issues, such as sky-rocketing rents

Recent developments on the "The Rent Is Too Damn High"-Act

Dear friends, fellow Atlasian citizens. It is now official that the "The Rent Is Too Damn High"-Act, which was introduced by me and supported by the Labor caucus, will not have a majority in the house. Two measures that work perfectly well in other countries are being shut down without a real debate. While I respect the opinion of the honorable representatives and their opinions, I do want to make clear on the other hand, that this way of working is not acceptable for the House of Representatives. We can debate about everything, but remaining silent for the duration of two whole weeks to finally vote against a piece of legislation is not the way we should deal with new bills. I want to underline that, before the final vote started, not a single concern was raised by the members of the house majority.

This was a political defeat for us which was caused by unfair means. But I accept the opinion of the House, and I look forward on working hard on other pieces of legislations that address the issue of affordable housing, a political topic which has been ignored for too long and which has now made a comback into our political debate. I am willing to make compromises on this issue, which is my duty as a representative, but we all have to accept that the status quo is not bearable, and that we need to make efforts that make it possible that people in this country who work hard are able to pay their rents.
