I personally think that it would be better for Trump to form his own party because Republican establishment will continue throwing a monkey wrench into his campain.
At the opening of Republican Convention in July he should declare that:
1)  he leaves the Republican Party because its leaders are dishonest schemers
2) he will run as an independent candidate
3)  he urges his supporters to leave the Convention
4)  he will form his own party.
This party may be named, e.g. Federalist Party.

He should join Democrats, because they're actually the better party.

Completely unrealistic.

He could name it the American Party.

Too simple. First American Party (FAP), Paramount American Party (PAP), Premier American Party, something like that. Or Trump's American Party (TAP).

Please rename the thread title. He is not 'to form his own party.' This is just a hypothetical, not a news story.

This is a poll rather than a thread and it is marked with the appropriate symbol in the list of topics. No need to rename anything.

Why not? The names of existing political parties don't feature the term "American". But Premier American Party  sounds better.

No dreaming at all. Bipartisan system has become outdated and inadequate. It doesn't meet demands of contemporary American society. Trump or somebody else will have to form a new political party.

Trump is sure to be a leftist taking into account his views on foreign policy, gay marriage, etc. But that doesn't mean that he will pursue a leftist policy if he is (unexpectedly) elected in November. Don't forget that all his statements made during election campaign are "only suggestions".

I am glad the majority of poll's participants have supported my suggestion that Trump should form his own party. Thus he will be able to get rid of flip-flopping hypocritic GOP establishment to have a free hand in his election campaign.

Yesterday, I posted that the problem with a Trump party is that there aren't any obvious candidates for local office.

Yes, give is the key word, receiving nothing in return.

When Philip the Good cut off his son's allowance the latter's servants offered: disant l’un: j’ay mille, l’autre: dix mille, l’autre: j’ay cecy, j’ay cela pour mettre pour vous et pour attendre tout vostre advenir.
Real supporters never expect anything in return. I personally get nothing in return for my posts.
