He has no political future.

Sadly, you're right. Maybe a run for N.Y. Senate in 2018 against Gillibrand if a Hillary Clinton administration is widely unpopular by 2018.

He's 73 by then, not a great age to be taking on a tough political challenge.

Different state and different circumstances, but Edwin Edwards (EDWIN EDWARDS) ran for the house at 87.
