I very much dislike the idea of actors as candidates.
Why? Tom Hanks, Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, etc. could all make formidable presidential bids in 2020. Clooney would beat Trump, he doesn't act "out of touch".
What knowledge do they have of domestic and foreign policy? What experience do they have in executive and legislative affairs? Trump may have been the most electable Republican, but was perhaps the worst option for the Presidency. Even if these people made for good candidates, why would you actually want one to be President? I want someone who would actually know what they're doing.
