Well, really there's no reason not to say excellent except that it isn't as good as yesterday, when I had a thoroughly enjoyable assignation with a lovely 20 year old friend of mine.

I still feel great though, and had a nice lunch and dinner and did no work.  So, I'll say 'good'.

...5:33am, when I changed into my work clothes and ran to the train station to make my train to the bus stop, then ran to the bus stop to catch my 5:59am bus to work, began work promptly at 6:20am, finished work at 5:53pm,

What on earth do you do for these strange and long hours?  (and for that matter which requires 'work clothes'?)
