Is the "We Need More Political Parties Amendment" still valid? If so, then The People's Party (AndrewPA, bluegrassbluevote, and Franzl) and the Earth Liberation Party (bgwah, ebowed, eraserhead) are officially major parties as well.

So Napoleon's and a person's moves apply for this election, correct?  Because I think last time, Napoleon tried to vote, but his Senate vote was deemed invalid because he had moved to another region shortly before that election.

Do forgive me. I was not aware that the amendment had been ratified.

Napoleon will be eligible to vote in the Northeast Senate election and a Person will be eligible to vote in the Mideast Senate election, per Article 5, Section 2, Clause 3.

If The Party must remain on this list, please, at least give it back it's historical color of lime green.

The question of the ratification of the amendment was never settled, but my assumption would be that no, it was not.

Given the questions regarding the proper enactment of the amendment that reduced the major party threshold from five members to three, it would be advisable for someone to file suit against the RG to clarify.

What are these questions, pray tell? I didn't follow the ratification process carefully.

I'd actually prefer to not have to enforce the amendment. I was never convinced that we "needed more political parties".

The constitution requires "approval by public referendum wherein each citizen shall vote by public post". Each citizen. If a region requires an amendment to be passed by popular referendum, and any citizen did not vote in the referendum, then the amendment can not be adopted by that region. Note that this also applies to the so-called "18th Amendment", which was never in fact adopted.
In the unlikely case that the SC is willing to let this piece of utterly moronic amendment-drafting slip and accept the 17th amendment as intended instead of as written (couldn't have happened in the golden days. Such a court decision, that is, not the bad drafting itself), it is highly dubious whether a tied vote can be redefined as an 'approval'. That seems to be doing some violence to the English language.

I could be mistaken, but I believe Labor has 42. We lost 1 member (Politics Junkie) and gained 2 members (Polnut, MustCrushCapitalism).

You're right, I overlooked Polnut. I'm not sure why he wrote "I only added the caucus" in his registration, though.

I overlooked your registration because I thought you meant that the only change to your registration in your post was the caucus affiliation. My mistake. No matter, all is well now.

Just a quick note, I was looking through the voter list looking for my name, and I noticed that the voter just below me on the list, his name is "spamage", is registered under state code "OC" in the Pacific Region, and I'm thinking you probably meant "OR", for Oregon. Wink
