On a more serious note... this is the first poll since March that has had Obama ahead. That in itself is good news

So, Obama's lead is shrinking nationally, and yet he's taking the lead in NC and expanding his margins in the Midwest and the big Democratic states? Odd.

Of course McCain is going to win Indies; embarrassed Republicans are calling themselves independents, and band-waggoning independents are calling themselves Democrats.

margin of error among internal groups will be huge. How many independents are there in a sample of 500? margin of error could be 8-10%
