Why does this argument strike me as familiar?

"It's a tiny minority of women here that wants this new law - the intellectuals. The poor and illiterate women of this country - the real Muslims - are against it," she added.

Indeed.

I suspect that all this actually shows - like with Islamic fundamentalism in general - is the strong anti-modernism (or rather "modern" as "western") of alot of the people there. Which isn't particularly surprising once you consider those places history.

That graph shows how evil Muslim brainwashing is.

Most of this has only a slight relationship to Islam.
