Then again this could end up being another 'Waiting for Godot' situation like with nuclear fusion.  Tongue

Its gonna affect some elections in the 2040s and 2050s when conservatives are still dying from cancer and liberals aren't.

thats why big gov and big pharma is pushing the anti-vaccine propaganda, so ppl will have to get treated for cancer instead of getting the vaccine.

treating it is more profitable so if there's a vaccine it will cut into big pharma's profits (also it will go against the "everything only gets worse forever" policy that big gov has shoved down our throats since March 2020)

so either they'll let it happen and half the population won't even get the vaccine bcuz they're brainwashed sheeple, or they'll not ever let the cancer vaccine come to the public. big gov will of course let the senators and the billionaires get it though, im sure.

Reading between the lines of the article, it sounds to me like the couple themselves only claimed that a cancer vaccine by 2030 is possible rather than the most likely outcome.

Before the COVID pandemic, deaths from cancer (generally speaking) were on the decline for everyone:

Cancer death rates continue to fall, latest federal data show

Quote
Pre-pandemic cancer death rates continued to decline among men, women, children, adolescents and young adults in every major racial and ethnic group in the United States from 2015 to 2019, newly released federal data show.

The nation's top health officials said this continues a trend in declining cancer mortality over more than two decades that reflects improvements in prevention, detection and treatment.

Overall, the latest Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer said new cases of cancer remained stable for men and children, but increased slightly for women and adolescents and young adults from 2014 to 2018, according to the latest available data.

It was released as a collaborative effort by the National Cancer Institute, a part of the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Cancer Society and the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries.

The report is based on various datasets from the agencies, including mortality data from the CDC's National Center for Health Statistics.

I don't plan on taking cancer vaccines or artificial life-extenders. I'll go when I'm needed, which hopefully isn't too far from now.

This is good for other people, though. Although, Social Security and Medicare will be more of an issue with more people living longer.

The steepest declines in death rates were in lung cancer and melanoma, at 4% to 5% per year among both men and women, according to the report.

Ugh. Time for me to take back up cigarettes.
