Senator Barnes has not posted anything in over a week even as his input is sorely needed on an amendment pending.

Folks, there is a reason elected officials are expected to post leaves of absence before they are gone for a prolonged period of time.

With Vice President PiT being confirmed, the Southern Class II Senate seat is now vacant.  Since that and Barnes' impending expulsion means we effectively have four active senators at the moment, I hope a replacement can be appointed ASAP.

Barnes has been expelled from the Senate.  A third of the Senate is now vacant, so let's get some appointments/special elections rolling along.
