Sorry for the non standard title, but this is crazy. Incumbent ultra awful President Jammeh seems to be going down in a landslide to rich estate agent Adama Barrow, as results are trickling in. Jammeh is a very nasty individual, and lacks the nuance of more modern strongmen on the continent like Kagame, so this could all go pear shaped. Still, a shocking result from what is one of the least democratic countries on the continent.

Just heard this on NPR. Is there a map somewhere?

Also, Wikipedia says that their 2011 election had him winning 72% of the vote with 83% turnout. This time he only got 40% with 59% turnout. Was there something awful in his administration the past five years, or did he just forget to rig the election (or both)?

He insulted a few large ethnic groups and has also become a bit more maniacal.
