Let's say that back when this huge crisis gripping Wall Street and the nation effect was lessened by the bailout of Lehman Brother's back in September or some other event.

Do you think McCain would have stood a better chance at winning as it seemed all downhill for him after that.

I would think so as it looked like before that, that he was going to carry Ohio and Florida, the would go also for Virginia. In addition to North Carolina and Indiana also.

Also it looked that had McCain been in better shape New Hampshire would have been in his grasp and it perhaps his efforts in Pennsylvania may have payed off also and he could have kept Michigan and Minnesota competitive too, and perhaps Colorado in addition.

So does anyone have any thoughts on this?
