I'd prefer Herring running, but good to know that VA Dems won't be caught flatfooted without a candidate, I guess.
I strongly doubt a Herring run happening, although he could be a good option considering the crucial NoVA vote, however Hampton Roads Northam can connect to (and we're often ignored).
Whatever the circumstances, I really don't think there will be any primary battle as VA Dems will need unity to win come 2017. I only see Herring running for reelection at this point which would set him up perfectly for 2021 as we all know how good of a springboard position AG is.
